TRAFFIC SAFETY UNIT

The Sheriff’s Department Traffic Safety Unit is based out of the Department’s Patrol Station in Voorheesville New York.  Members assigned to this unit have additional training and expertise in areas such as; accident investigations, vehicle and traffic law enforcement, child safety seat inspections, seat belt enforcement, DWI and Speed Enforcement.  In addition to routine patrol, this unit responds to citizen complaints by targeting areas that are complained of for such things a speeding, reckless driving, and problems of similar nature.
