It is the intention of the Office of the Fire Coordinator to afford fire and related emergency services protection to the residents of Albany County by aiding and assisting local fire, rescue, and related emergency providers with needed support, in the form of: training; asset coordination; communication assistance; and to provide expertise and liaison with other municipal agencies. Furthermore, it is the goal of this office to provide county wide coordination of programs on: arson; hazardous materials; public education; and fire prevention, and to affect needed legislation when required.
